Do I need prior insurance or sales experience?
No. Experience can help, but it isn’t required. We value character, coachability, consistency, and a genuine desire to serve people. We’ll teach you the systems and skills you need to get started.
Do I need a life insurance license?
You’ll need an active life insurance license before you can begin writing business. If you aren’t licensed yet, we’ll help guide you through the licensing process so you know what steps to take.
Will I have to cold call?
No. Our agents work with 100% inbound opportunities from people who have already expressed interest in life insurance. Your job is to connect, understand their needs, and help families find appropriate coverage.
Is this a salaried position?
No. Epic Life Houston agents are 1099 independent contractors, not salaried employees. This is a commission-based opportunity, so compensation varies based on individual production and other applicable factors.
Are there costs associated with getting started?
Yes. Independent agents are responsible for certain licensing, technology, E&O insurance, and other business-related expenses. All applicable costs and expectations are reviewed with candidates before they make a commitment.
What is the Houston office experience like?
Our Houston office is built for agents who want community—not isolation. You’ll have access to in-person training, coaching, accountability, team interaction, and leadership development as you build your business.
